You can book all of Praktyka combining the three accommodation spaces and our ‘black barn’ communal kitchen and chill out space.
The black barn is large enough for everyone to feast together with a fully equipped kitchen with range cooker, dishwasher and fridge.
Have the whole place to yourselves.

During Your Stay
Stay in the barn, the dome and the cabin.
The ‘black barn’ communal kitchen for cooking and eating together.
Roam all the Praktyka gardens.
The back barn is 5m x 10m with a fully equipped kitchen and large fridge freezer, large SMEG range cooker and dishwasher.
Boardgames including Carcosanne, Risk, Photosynthesis, Scrabble and ‘The Cornish Smuggler.’
Wood fired outdoor bath.

Design Philosphy:
The black barn is our most DIY space.
When we arrived at Thorne Farm the barn was a simple shed with corrugated metal shell.
We immediately started dreaming about what we could use the space for.
To start with we created a space for Ania to have a studio to work and make jewellery. We made a wooden box the size of a shipping container.
After a few years and many happy memories and workshops Ania craved more sunlight and windows … so she moved to the other side of the farm.
And we decided to expand the room to take up the whole barn… and the black barn was born.
We made a lot of the furniture ourselves, the doors from the farmhouse became the tables. Ania made the side tables from scrap wood.
We hope you love the space as much as we do.
